Introduction

Nowadays, second language learning is required by the education system of most countries around the world. The methodology of learning a second language is innumerable. However, there is an old problem that is hard to be solved: how to connect the different languages in the students’ current environment? This problem also bothered me when I was learning English; thus, to solve it, I develop a robot as the personal helper of students.

Purpose

As I mentioned, I have met some difficulties when I was learning English. Then, I have learned that the minds of human beings can more easily get information from images than texts. Therefore, the solution that I have for this problem is to let students display an object in front of the camera; then the robot will tell students what it is in another language, so you can connect the foreign language with your daily life and help you remember the words.
